Farmer home screen Detailed instructions
- Note: Boundary registration can only be performed once for a farmer newly joining the System. Boundary registration should be defined for the entire cultivation area under one land-owner, and may be subdivided into smaller parcels during operations.
- Note: You need an internet connection to download the satellite basemap. If your plantation area has no internet or 4G/5G, open aGreen Traceability while online, zoom and pan the basemap over the area to cache it on the device, then you can register the boundary offline. Data created offline is stored on the device and syncs automatically when the network returns.
- Your registered boundary will be verified to avoid overlap with previously registered areas and to verify the start of cultivation. You will receive a confirmation email or a request to coordinate verification.
- Production activity logs will only be recorded when performed inside the virtual fence; therefore the registered area must match the actual field.
- If you have more than one non-adjacent parcel, you can register each parcel one at a time in the same session.
- Using data verified by the competent authority is recommended (use the 'Available data' function).
2.1Open the Supplier map from the home screen
- After sign-in, the Farmer home screen displays the function buttons.
- To register the cultivation boundary, tap the 'Area' button to open the map.

Tap the 'Area' button to open the map 2.2Newly registered farmer
- If you do not yet have a registered and verified plantation boundary map, an information dialog will appear. Please read it carefully.
- Tap AGREE to register a new land parcel in the following steps, or tap CANCEL if you registered successfully before and want to work with that parcel, or contact the competent authority if the data is incorrect.

Information about a newly registered farmer 2.3Choose how to draw the boundary
- On the Supplier map interface, tap the red + button (bottom-right of the screen) to open the geometry menu.
- Polygon of plants: walk around the cultivation area perimeter to define the boundary (recommended for most cases).
- Band of plants: move along the centre of your plot/line segment; the app automatically creates a 10 m buffer on each side to form a zone (suitable for narrow plots, width under about 20 m).
- Point of plants: mark your standing position and the app automatically creates a circle with a 10 m radius (for very small plantation areas or a single location).
- Available data: upload approved parcel data saved on your device.
- Tap X to close the menu.

Options for drawing the boundary to register 2.4Notice about creating the virtual fence
- After choosing Polygon of plants (or Band of plants or Point of plants) as described below, please read the dialog content carefully.
- The function builds a virtual fence from GPS coordinates recorded along your path.
- Location services (determining your position via the Global Navigation Satellite System - GNSS) will run in the background while you map.
- Tap AGREE to continue or CANCEL to return to the previous screen.

Notice about creating the virtual fence 2.5Automatic waypoint saving
- For large areas or users who must drive around the cultivation perimeter, you can choose Automatic waypoint saving (tap the signpost-with-clock icon at the top right of the screen); the Set interval dialog will appear.
- Enter the time interval (in seconds) for saving waypoints automatically.
- Note that this function may create many coordinate points in one area if you do not move continuously at a steady speed. To stop it, tap the manual waypoint/photo button at the bottom right of the screen.
- After entering the interval value, tap AGREE to start automatic saving or CANCEL to exit this mode.

Guide and interval entry for automatic waypoint saving 2.6Collect coordinates around the cultivation boundary and field photos
- To save a coordinate point, perform two actions in sequence: tap the navigation button (rightmost on the bottom toolbar) and tap the add-waypoint button (red inverted teardrop icon).
- Each time you tap add waypoint, a prompt to take a field photo appears, as shown below.
- If you do not want a photo at that point, tap CANCEL to continue saving coordinates at the next point. If you want a field photo at this coordinate, tap AGREE to take the photo.

Take a photo at the current coordinate or not 2.7Create and refine the virtual fence
- While mapping the boundary, some points may be very hard to reach exactly due to terrain, obstacles, or insufficient GPS signal. The app includes a correction feature: move a saved point to the required coordinate.
- After saving a waypoint, tap and hold the pink marker at the waypoint you want to move, drag the marker to the desired location, then release to move the coordinate.
- While dragging, distance and direction information appears at the top right of the screen, relative to the coordinate before the move. However, the move distance must not exceed 20 m (twenty metres). If you drag beyond 20 m from the original point, the app warns you and on release the coordinate returns to the maximum 20 m distance.

How to create and refine the virtual fence 2.8Complete virtual fence creation
- While walking to collect coordinates around the plantation area (virtual fence), collect as many points as possible around the variable boundary, the more points collected, the higher the accuracy of your boundary and area, and the easier it is for central processors to verify the data, reducing the need for repeated follow-up with you.
- For field photos during virtual fence creation, you are advised to provide 1–2 photos while saving points to document land use at the time of plantation area registration.

Completing virtual fence creation 2.9How to take geo-tagged field photos
- While collecting coordinates, if you want a field photo tap AGREE as described above; the in-app camera interface opens. Hold the phone horizontally with the shutter button on your right, keep it steady, point the rear lens toward the centre of the plantation area, and tap the shutter with your right thumb.
- If the shooting angle or subject does not meet your requirements, tap X on the camera interface to close it and move to the next point. Field photos taken with the aGreen Traceability in-app camera overlay coordinates, shooting direction, and capture time directly on the image to support status verification.

How to take geo-tagged field photos 2.10Close the polygon at the final point
- From the third waypoint onwards (minimum number of points to form a closed polygon), the save-polygon button is activated (tick mark at the top right, just below GPS accuracy information).
- After completing coordinate collection and at least one field photo, tap this close-zone button to finish collecting coordinates and field photos.

Virtual fence ready to close 2.11Register a cultivation line
- aGreen Traceability also supports creating a virtual fence from a buffered path, similar to polygon survey.
- Instead of walking around the cultivation area/plantation, move along the centre of your plot/line segment; the app automatically creates a 10 m buffer on each side to form a zone (suitable for narrow plots, width under about 20 m).
- Other steps (including automatic waypoint saving) are the same as for polygon mapping described above.

Guide to creating a cultivation line
Illustration of cultivation line registration 2.12Register a cultivation point
For small plantation areas (under about 300 m²) that are compact, consider registering a cultivation point: mark the centre of the plantation and the app automatically creates a circle with a 10 m radius (about 314 m²).

Guide to cultivation point registration
Illustration of cultivation point registration 2.13Available data
- Using data verified by the competent authority is highly recommended ('Available data').
- It is preferable, more accurate, and more lawful if you can obtain spatial data for your land parcel/plantation from the competent authority (*.GeoJSON file, WGS-84 geographic coordinate system).
- Open the red + button (bottom-right) on the Supplier map to open the geometry menu, then choose 'Available data' and select the *.geojson file provided by the competent authority saved on your phone.

Available data illustration 2.14Land parcel registration form
- After creating the virtual fence (completing spatial boundary data for the plantation), fill in the basic and required information for plantation boundary registration.
- Type of land certificate: choose one of the certificate types (e.g. land use right certificate).
- Land use tenure: enter the land use expiry year (if you have a certificate).
- Parcel area: you cannot enter this yourself, the App calculates it from the map. However, you must check and compare it with the area stated on your land use certificate.
- Tree species: select the species actually planted. If the parcel has not yet been planted, choose 'Not planted'.
- Cultivating since: select when the plantation has been in stable cultivation. If this date is before 2018, choose 2018.
- Status: describe current status (Pending approval (self-mapped and registered, not yet approved), Newly planted, or Bare land).
- Tap Send registration to upload.
- If you have not selected all required parameters correctly, the 'Send registration' button will not yet be enabled.

Land parcel registration form illustration 2.15Data verification
- After Send registration, a success dialog confirms that you have successfully submitted registration of your plantation area, together with information on land use rights, cultivation start date, tree species, status, etc.
- The system sends your registration request to the competent authority for verification. Verification results will be sent to your email address. Check your email and follow the instructions to coordinate resolution if needed.
- You may need to confirm again with the competent authority before official approval and before conducting production activities on the registered area.
- NOTE: This registration confirms the legal basis for your future cultivation activities; please pay careful attention during registration.

Registration successful, awaiting verification Detailed instructions
- If you do not yet have a registered and verified cultivation boundary, please register the boundary first (following Step 2: Register and verify cultivation boundary (virtual fence)).
- Logging planting and cultivation activities can only be performed inside the registered virtual fence.
- For annual crops, you must fully harvest the previous crop before planting a new one, whereas for perennial crops, you can record cultivation activities after harvesting.
- For species planted using seedlings, you must purchase seedlings (scan the QR code) from the nursery to confirm their origin.
- Note: You need an internet connection to download the satellite basemap. If the cultivation area has no internet or 4G/5G, open aGreen Traceability when online, zoom and pan the basemap over the area to cache it, then you can log activities offline. Data created offline will be stored on the device and sync automatically once the connection is restored.
- Plan your field work and activity logging in advance for each parcel, as logging is tightly bound to activities inside the virtual fence.
- Note: Record activities after finishing field work and before leaving the cultivation area.
- To log the purchase of seedlings or agricultural inputs, start from the 'Buy items, inputs' button on the Farmer's main screen.

- To log a planting or cultivation activity, start from the 'Cultivation' button on the Farmer's main screen.

- When scanning the QR code generated by the Nursery, you will see the GS1 Digital Link (Digital Passport) page for the seedling lot, showing full traceability: lot details, GPS location, nursery sowing and care activity logs, and the Nursery's GLN (Global Location Number). Please review this information carefully before confirming the purchase.

3.1Buy seedlings and inputs
When you want to log a seedling or input purchase, request the seller to generate a new QR code in the aGreen Traceability App with the seedling details and sale quantity agreed between you and the seller.
Open your aGreen Traceability App (log in as 'Farmer') and tap the 'Buy items, inputs' button on the main interface as shown in the image above.
Point your device camera lens to scan the seller's QR code, which may be displayed on their device (also within the aGreen Traceability App).
The details of the seedling lot you are about to purchase will appear on your app screen. Tap one of the two options: 'Buy and plant later' or 'Buy and plant now' (detailed below) to view more information about the seedling lot.

Seedling lot options Read the information displayed on the app screen carefully. You can tap the 'Check and confirm purchase' button to proceed, or tap 'Cancel' at this step to decline the purchase.

Review seedling details and proceed/cancel option You may need to double-check the seedling lot details in the 'Batch History' section. If you confirm the purchase, tap the 'Confirm purchase' button to verify. The transaction between you and the seller will then be stored on the blockchain. Additionally, the seedling lot will be saved in your inventory (if buying to plant later) or transferred to the cultivation interface (if buying to plant now) for easy management.

Confirm seedling purchase transaction
Complete seedling purchase confirmation The transaction is confirmed only when you successfully log this seedling purchase. If you do not confirm within 15 minutes of the seller generating the QR code (the remaining validity time is shown on your screen), the QR code will automatically expire and the transaction will fail. To purchase again, you must request the seller to generate another QR code.

QR code transaction expired notification
QR code validity expired 3.2Subdivide land parcel
When you tap the 'Cultivation' button on the Farmer's main screen, the Cultivation Map interface will display the land parcels where you can plant and care for crops. Tap and hold for about 2–3 seconds on the map (the specific parcel) where you have just planted or cared for crops and want to log the activity.

Tap and hold a parcel to select If you select 'Part of parcel', it means you want to subdivide the land parcel into smaller parts, and you only plant or care for crops on one of those parts. The subdivision map interface will guide you through this. After subdividing the parcel, proceed with the 'Whole parcel' option.

Select subdivide part of land parcel After completing the subdivision process on your device, you will have a subdivided parcel aligned with the actual planting and care boundaries you established in the field. You can now log your planting or care activities on this subdivided parcel.

Land parcel subdivided successfully If you select 'Whole parcel', it means you want to plant or care for crops on the entire land parcel. In this case, skip the subdivision process and proceed to log the activity.
3.3Planting and cultivation activity log
When a parcel is in an empty state, meaning the previous crop has been fully harvested (annual crops), it is undergoing replanting (perennial crops), or it has just been newly registered, its boundary will appear red on the map. In this state, you can only log a Planting activity.

Empty parcel with a red boundary, ready for planting Logging timing note: Log activities after completing field work and before leaving the cultivation area, so the GPS location is accurately captured inside or near the parcel. If the planting activity spans multiple days within the same cultivation cycle, consider logging on the final day. If you are not planting the entire parcel, split it along the boundary between the planted and unplanted sections using the parcel splitting feature described in section 3.2, before logging.
After long-pressing the parcel on the map, select 'Entire parcel' (or the previously split sub-parcel, if applicable), then tap the OK button to proceed. If the app requests it, move inside the parcel, ideally to the center, so the system can confirm that your GPS position is within the registered boundary.

Select 'Entire parcel' and confirm GPS location inside the parcel If you previously used the 'Buy and plant later' option when purchasing seedlings, the lot will be stored in the 'Seedling Storage' section under 'Inventory' on the Farmer's main screen. Open the store, select the appropriate seedling species with sufficient stock, and proceed to log the planting activity.

Select seedlings from storage to plant If you do not have seedlings in your storage, use the 'Buy and plant immediately' option when scanning the Nursery QR code. After tapping 'Confirm purchase and plant now', the system confirms the purchase transaction and immediately transitions to the planting log screen, allowing you to complete both steps in one continuous flow.

Confirm 'Buy and plant now' from the nursery For species sown directly from seed, for example Maize or Soybean, without passing through a nursery propagation stage, tap the 'Cultivation' button on the Farmer's main screen, then long-press the target parcel to begin logging the planting activity.

'Cultivation' button on the home screen for direct-sown species The status of a parcel is indicated by the color of its boundary outline on the map: • Red: Parcel is empty (harvested or replanting); only Planting can be logged. • Green or light yellow: Parcel is planted but not yet ready for harvest; only Care activities (fertilizing, pest control, etc.) can be logged. • White: Parcel has reached harvest maturity; only Harvest can be logged.

Map parcel with a green or yellow boundary, in the care stage After selecting the parcel for the planting log, enter the complete details describing the planting activity: species, quantity, planting method, expected yield, and take one or two field photos showing the current state after planting. This data will be recorded on the blockchain and used to track the full lifecycle of the crop on this parcel.

Enter planting parameters, page 1
Enter planting parameters, page 2 At the final step, review all entered information carefully to ensure it accurately reflects what was done in the field. Once confirmed, tap the "Confirm" button to submit the planting log to the system. The data will be recorded immutably on the blockchain and cannot be edited after submission.

Confirm and submit the planting log After successfully logging a planting activity, you can continue to log care activities such as fertilizing, pesticide application, and pruning throughout the growth period. To log a care activity, open 'Cultivation' from the main screen, then long-press for 2 to 3 seconds on a parcel with a green or light-yellow boundary to open the logging menu.

Long-press a parcel in the care stage to open the logging menu While the parcel has not yet reached the minimum harvestable age for that species, only care activities such as fertilizing and pesticide application can be logged; the "Ready to harvest" option will not appear at this stage. Below is an example illustrating how to log a fertilizer application. Note that you can log multiple care activities of different types during the same growth period.

Enter fertilizer application details, step 1
Confirm the fertilizer application log, step 2 Below is an example illustrating how to log a pesticide application. Similar to fertilizing, you can record the pesticide type, dosage, application method, and attach field photos as evidence.

Enter pesticide application details, step 1
Confirm the pesticide application log, step 2 When your cultivation area has reached the required harvest maturity, which varies by species and ecological zone, you must log a 'Ready to harvest' entry to transition the parcel boundary color from green or yellow to white on the map. Only when the parcel is in the 'Ready to harvest' state can you proceed to the Harvest step.

Log 'Ready to harvest', step 1
Confirm the 'Ready to harvest' status, step 2 Detailed instructions
4.1Field harvest
You can identify which parcels are ready for harvest (white boundary outline on the map) in advance to plan field work, avoid confusion, and save time.

Map showing parcels ready for harvest with a white boundary outline After completing the harvest in the field and gathering all information about the volume, area, and type of produce, consolidate the harvested goods in the center of the harvest area. Then open the aGreen Traceability app and tap the 'Harvest' button on the home screen.

'Harvest' button on the app home screen The GPS feature will help position you at your current location. Long-press for about 2 to 3 seconds on the parcel you just harvested, at the spot where you are standing.

Long-press on the harvested parcel on the map If you harvested the entire parcel, select 'Entire parcel'. If you only harvested part of the parcel, select 'Partial parcel' and split the parcel along the boundary between the harvested and unharvested areas.

Options to select 'Entire parcel' or 'Partial parcel' After splitting the parcel (if needed), you return to the selection screen. Choose 'Entire parcel' (now referring to the split portion) and tap the 'OK' button to continue.

Confirm 'Entire parcel' after splitting and tap OK Enter the actual harvested volume. Note that the entered value must not exceed the expected yield registered during planting; the system will display a warning if the value exceeds the allowed limit.

Enter harvested volume with warning if it exceeds the registered limit Select the appropriate sale condition for your produce: choose 'Fresh sale' if the produce is sold immediately without processing, or choose 'Processing' if it needs further handling before sale (drying, dehulling, cleaning, etc.).

Select sale condition: 'Fresh sale' or 'Processing' Select the post-harvest status for the parcel: • 'Replanting': Use for perennial crops that have completed a growth cycle and need to be replanted, or for annual crops that have been fully harvested. The parcel returns to an empty state (red boundary) ready for a new cycle. • 'Intensive cultivation': Use for perennial crops that continue to grow after harvest (e.g., coffee, tea). The parcel remains in cultivation state and you can continue to log care activities.

Select post-harvest status: 'Replanting' or 'Intensive cultivation' Attach field photos as evidence that the produce was harvested from the registered parcel. Tap 'Take photo' and photograph the harvested produce at the harvest location. Photos with embedded GPS and timestamp increase the credibility of the log.

Take a field photo of the harvested produce Once all information is filled in, the 'Confirm harvest' button becomes active. Review everything once more, then tap 'Confirm harvest' to submit the log to the blockchain.

'Confirm harvest' button becomes active after all fields are filled When the harvest log is successfully recorded on the blockchain, the screen shows a 'Transaction completed' notification. If you selected 'Fresh sale', the produce lot moves directly to the sale warehouse. If you selected 'Processing', the lot moves to the raw warehouse for further processing before sale. You can manage all stock through the 'Warehouse' button on the home screen.

'Transaction completed' notification after the harvest log is saved 4.2Primary processing log
For produce that requires processing, which you selected the 'Processing' condition for during harvest, the lot will appear in the 'Raw Warehouse'. Open 'Warehouse' from the home screen, select 'Raw Warehouse', then choose the lot to begin processing.

Select a produce lot in the 'Raw Warehouse' to begin processing Select the processing method appropriate for your produce type: 'Drying', 'Dehulling', 'Cleaning', etc. Then enter the weight after processing. Note that the post-processing weight must not exceed the maximum shown on screen, as it is typically less than the raw weight due to losses during processing.

Select processing method and enter post-processing weight After the processing log is successfully recorded on the blockchain, the produce lot is automatically moved from the raw warehouse to the sale warehouse and is ready for sale, the same end state as when you selected 'Fresh sale' at the time of harvest.

Processing success notification; produce lot moved to sale warehouse Detailed instructions
5.1Agricultural product sale log
You can select the lot to sell in 'Warehouse' under 'Sale Warehouse', or choose the corresponding lot via 'Sell' then 'Select from warehouse' on the main screen. Note that the app does not support logging sales for lots that you did not harvest and log on your own registered parcels.

'Sell' or 'Warehouse' button on the main screen
Select the lot from 'Sale Warehouse'
Lot details view with the Sell button When the 'Sell product' screen appears, review the details and choose 'Sell all' or 'Sell part' depending on your needs. The system allows you to split the lot to sell to one or multiple buyers. You must enter the exact volume to be sold in this transaction.

Select 'Sell all' or 'Sell part' and enter quantity Select the packaging method for the lot, which is a key step. If you do not choose 'Standard packaging (with GTIN code)', your lot will default to bulk, unpackaged goods, and the system will automatically assign a location identifier (GLN) instead of a GTIN. If you package your goods according to a specific standard, choose 'Standard packaging (with GTIN code)' and fill in all required details.

Packaging method options: Bulk (GLN) or Standard Packaging (GTIN) Take a real photo of the lot being sold as evidence. Once the photo is taken, the 'Create QR' button will become active, allowing you to generate the sale QR code.

Take a photo of the shipment and tap 'Create QR' Upon successful QR code generation, the app will display the QR code with a 15-minute countdown timer. You can show this screen to the buyer to scan directly (for face-to-face transactions), take a screenshot, download the QR code, or print it out to send to the buyer or attach to the shipment. Note that the GS1 Digital Link in the QR code remains valid long-term, but the transaction session is only valid for 15 minutes. If the buyer does not confirm the purchase within this period, the transaction will lapse, you will remain the owner of the lot, and you will need to generate a new QR code to sell it.

Displaying the sale QR code with 15-minute countdown timer After a successful transaction, the sold volume will be recorded in the 'Sold goods' section under your 'Warehouse'.
